First Snow

One of the things that Jen and I wanted when we bought our 20 acres in Northern Michigan was for others to be able to use it. My friend Tim was the 1st to take us up on our offer. We have never been up there with snow yet. When Tim arrived he called and told me there's about an inch of snow. I texted him and asked him send me a picture. So this is our first snow and our first time of letting someone besides us stay.

  1. Great site, I'm guessing you are north of Atlanta. Have you seen elk on your property yet? Last year I saw a young bull elk while hunting which came within 25 yards from me. I see them about every other year and have seen one bear. The only bad part about seeing the elk is that its when I am hunting and they scare away the deer.

  2. I haven't seen any elk on my property yet but I did see one cross the road a few miles down from me. I have seen tracks though. I'm told by the locals there's a heard of 18ish elk near our property. We did have one bear come around last Memorial weekend right behind our camper about 40 feet away. It was around 6 in the morning and then we didn't see him the rest of the weekend. We are in Montmorency off of Voyer Lake Road near 628.
